How to selectively sidechain compress parts of your sound to attain a cleaner mix without sacrificing power. This is particularly useful for music that's really busy, like glitch music or certain types of bass music. In the video I compare some different methods for handling sidechain compression between a kick and a bassline, and why I like the spectral split method the best. This is all with free FL plugins, namely the Fruity Limiter, Fruity Parametric EQ 2, Fruity Envelope Controller, and Patcher. This sort of technique is easily achievable in any DAW despite showing how to do it in FL.
